Protech Pest Control recently completed a commercial bird netting installation underneath a loading bay canopy in Dandenong South to prevent birds from resting, roosting, and perching throughout the protected area.
Bird activity beneath the canopy had resulted in excessive bird droppings on walls, structural steel, pipework, and loading bay areas, creating ongoing hygiene concerns and increasing the risk of contamination to stock and goods being handled within the loading area.
The client required a reliable, long-term bird-proofing solution to prevent birds from accessing the underside of the canopy, while reducing ongoing cleaning, maintenance requirements, and stock damage caused by bird activity.
Scope of Works Completed
Protech Pest Control supplied and installed commercial-grade 19mm square bird netting underneath the loading bay canopy area.
The bird netting system was professionally fastened from one purling section around existing pipework and secured directly to the H-beams throughout the canopy structure.
To ensure a strong and long-lasting installation, stainless steel turnbuckles, stainless steel wire, and netting clips were installed and secured at approximately 250mm to 300mm intervals around the full perimeter of the protected area.
